Digging deeper into team leading

Although we don't have a hierarchy in our company, meaning there are just the two bosses and the rest, I can be seen as a team leader here. I mean, bosses come to me to dispatch work to my colleges and my colleges ask me for advice and not our bosses. Not having a hierarchy means I don't have to get payed more because I don't need to worry about my co-workers output.
This is more or less a superb environment to get used to team leading - at least for me. I can do everything and, since we don't have a hierarchy, I am not accountable for their outcome. Therefore I trying to get more familiar with Cockburn's crystal methodologies. Although we do rapid prototyping and lately tried out some scrum, I think crystal might be very valuable to me and team leading. It focuses more on people and after watching a video about motivation I think that's the way to go.
